Iīve gotten this often, if something is wrong in catalog.cfg, in the
login page, in userdb.asc and in the post methode. It is difficult for
me to point you on the right way. Maybe this can help you a little
bit...

Place this file into catalogs/<yourshop>/pages, visit your shop and
call this file via your URL-Bar in your browser.
Look into the new file.
After that, make a new account. Use the above file once more and look
into the new file once more.
If you get (for example)...

the second userpassword isnīt encrypted --> wrong setting in
catalog.cfg
if it is
code password acl time s_nickname name
Joachim abc123xyz 949582991 Leidinger
jojo abc456xyz 949582991
The name of the second user is empty --> wrong fieldname is using or
there is a typo in any login page or new_account page.
Look at
[set NewAccount]
[userdb new_account]
[/set]
or
[tag touch userdb][/tag]
[set Change]
[tag flag write]userdb[/tag]
[userdb change_pass]
[/set]
[set Save]
[tag flag write]userdb[/tag]
[userdb function=save]
