RE: [mv] development tools
****** message to minivend-users from Ed LaFrance <edlafrance@printexusa.com> ******
Someone recently (like in the last couple of days) posted the same question
to the list, and someone else responded that Allaire makes a WYSIWYG HTML
editor that can be taught a new tag set (like the Minivend tags) so it will
theoretically behave itself and not eat your MML alive.
I agree with Chris' comments below. Unlike a straight HTML site, you are
not going to be cranking out a lot of static pages in Minivend; rather,
you'll be creating a few layouts (and pieces of layouts) which will be
processed by the Minivend server and merged with file data, variable data,
etc. to create the actual pages that the user sees. I've tried all the
whiz-bang whee-ha site "generators" out there, and in the end, a good text
editor has proven to be the most useful Minivend development tool.
