[mv] Problems installing/running minivend

****** message to minivend-users from "Christofer Karatzinis" <chka@ireland.com> ******

Hi,

I have the following problems trying to install and run the minivend. The "make test" returns the following:

------------------------ Start -----------------------------------
host1% make test
PERL_DL_NONLAZY=1 /home/virtual/solutions/chka/new_perl/bin/perl -Iblib/arch -Iblib/lib -I/home/virtual/solutions/chka/new_perl/lib/5.00502/alpha-dec_osf -I/home/virtual/solutions/chka/new_perl/lib/5.00502 test.pl
server/unixmode.......ok 1
server/startup........ok 2
link/unixmode.........not ok 3
server/inetmode.......ok 4
link/inetmode.........not ok 5
server/control........ok 6
6 tests run -- 2/6 failed.
*** Exit 1
Stop.
------------------------ End -----------------------------------

I deside to install the product (even if the test failed) and when I issue the "bin/minivend -r" I get:

------------------------ Start -----------------------------------
host1% bin/minivend -r
Killing Minivend server 32177 with TERM.
Low traffic settings.

The operating system I'm using is:

host1% uname -a
OSF1 host1.trinitycommerce.ie V4.0 1229 alpha

and I tried the installation and the execution with these versions of perl:

host1% perl -v
This is perl, v5.6.0 built for alpha-dec_osf

and

host1% /home/virtual/solutions/chka/new_perl/bin/perl -v
This is perl, version 5.005_02 built for alpha-dec_osf

Both perl versions cause the same problem. Any help please?

Thanx in advance,
Christofer
