Maybe another approach is feasible, which too may resurrects the MiniVend
documentation effort. One man writing this book will fail, but a group
may succeed. Furthermore, there is only one person who knows every aspect of
MiniVend, others are accustomed just with parts of it.
So, I propose, we discuss first a rough structure of the document
and pass the responsibility for single sections to volunteers.
I think there are enough people which can afford the time to
document a single aspect of MiniVend, like Shipping, Routing
or something else. We use a common format like Docbook, so
we have an online version from the first day. In the long run
this may result in a book. At least we are able to tell how
much people are possibly interested purchasing a book, so
we have better point for agreements with a publisher.
I have more ideas on that, but first I like to read your opinions.
