[mv] Does ProductFiles work in MV3?

I have never been able to get ProductFiles to work on MV3, so I did a
test. I installed both MV4.04 and MV3.14-5 on the same machine
(FreeBSD/Apache) and did the following:

1. Made a copy of products.asc named products2.asc

2. Edited products2.asc and added '2' to the beginning of every code,
desciption and title

3. Added to catalog.cfg:
     Database  products2  products2.asc  TAB

4. Added to catalog.cfg (below Database directives):
     ProductFiles products products2

When I access the MV4.04 basic catalog I get two of each product, one from
products.asc and one from products2.asc.

When I access the MV3.14-5 simple catalog I get only one of each product,
the one from products.asc.

Nothing in error.log.

I have searched the mail archive and there is not much on ProductFiles.
Has anyone made this work in MV3?
