Because of the liability it would place on you. If the credit card
numbers are stored on your servers then *you* are responsible if they
are somehow stolen or misused. It also helps protect the user from
someone bogarting their username and password (which can be transmitted
cleartext or only using crypt)/leaving themself logged in and so forth.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on that but all the sites I've created
so far have had alternative shipping schemes.
