Looks like you compilation aborted premature.
Maybe you didn't have the entire package.
Solaris seems to have a quirk with 'tar' that doesn't like really long file
names.
Delete the Interchange directory and use 'gtar' to unpack the source
instead.

Just curious as to how you are handling reports for Interchange? I used the
subject tag [interchange] so I can follow its thread. I just unpacked and
configured on a SunUltra Solaris8/Perl5.6.0/Mysql3.22.32 ( my local
machine for testing, not production server so I can try whatever..) and got
a
few errors which I need to work on but made me wonder how you will want
any reports for this product handled. The ./configure passed all its
selftests
but had these errors in the begining:
