[mv] MV4.04: Problem accessing variables via safe_tag

Hello folks!

I have switched from MV3.14 to MV4.04 and now face the following
problem:

This code embedded into the checkout page won't work anymore:

[currency][perl values]
        my $summe=safe_tag('subtotal');
        ...
        return $summe;
[/perl][/currency]


I get the following error message:
Unable to create sub named "*MVSAFE::safe_tag" at (eval 102) line 2.

I have tried to make a [perl sub=1] as well as a [perl interpolate=1]
but neither one makes it work again!

HELP PLEASE!
