[mv] capturing full URL

Hi all -

Any ideas: what's the best way to capture the full url on a page in a 
minivend catalog - I mean the whole shebang, including http:// and all the 
way to the end with session data, etc.  I have a javascript doing it now, 
but it is not bulletproof, so I am looking for a perl snippet or tag, so 
far I haven't come up with anything obvious.  This is for minivend 3.14-5.
