Jim, could you do us a favor? Try goign back to the first principles.
Install the 'basic' or 'simple' demo site on your server and have your
customers try that. See if they still lose their pages.
The first principle in any sort of debugging session is to know what
needs to be debugged. If it is a problems with minivend then the problem
should continue with the basic or simple demo store. If the problem does
not continue then you *must* look at other culprits. In this case the
next most obvious one is the code that you have written. Its quite
possible that some simple yet non obvious mistake is causing this
problem.
If you review your code and find no problems you have to investigate the
possibility of an aberant apache installation, missing modules in perl
or something along those lines.
