redhat 5.2 woes
****** message to minivend-users from Michael Bloom <mike@gomi.com> ******
Hello All,
I'm a recent initate to minivend, but I have a bit of cgi and apache
experience as well as perl. I just wasted days trying to upgrade this
platform (redhat 5.2) to a version of perl that doesn't cause the
installer / runtimes to break. I'm asking for anyone who has a more
detailed master plan for dealing with redhat than minivend has posted on
their site to come forward.
I am running perl 5.004_004 and have tried several more recent
versions. I have run the upgrade script that used to be on the minivend
site that automates moving from the glibc broken redhat perl build to a
'clean' one that should work. It didn't.
I built everything on freebsd box in less than an hour ... but redhat ..
not so easy. Any Ideas?
