Well you can always use MS Access to edit the asc files, in a nice decent
way,
excatly like in SQL..., even if you have 36,000 items..., SQL is not the
perfect
soltuion.... as i understand there are some strings seach with it (or mybe i
am mistaken).

Well, I just can't imagine editing a 36,000 item flat fle!
