****** message to minivend-users from Barry Treahy <treahy@mmaz.com> ******
Humm...
I took the test.pl script and created two versions, one with all the tests except the last and one with
the last which shuts down the server... Both work fine independently. I then took the original test.pl
script and inserted a ps ax and confirmed that minivend was still out there and running, but still it
fails....
I'm doing this all with an account that has full root access, though it is not the root account. For
kicks, I changed the build directory ownership to my minivend account and attempted the test.pl as the
minivend account and it still croaks.
I've proceeded with the install even though that the standard make test fails and the server seems to
startup ok except the ongoing problem with the minivend startup incorrectly using su on Linux; the
parameters are reveresed.
