Re: [mv] MS ACCESS, ODBC, MySQL and update table?

****** message to minivend-users from "Ken Diliberto" <Ken@kdmd.net> ******

I installed MySQLODBC (I think that's what it's called) on my Windoze
machine and configured it to use the test_minivend database. There are
a few things you need to do to get MySQL to allow access to the
database. This has to do with permissions, which you should look at the
docs for since I don't understand it well enough to repeat accurately.

I don't know what you mean by 'offline mode' so I can't comment on it.

I'll check on the NoImport option to see if that is my problem. I have
not done anything like that so it may be.

If I can be of more assistance, mail me back.

You are able to use ms access to insert, update, delete any data via
odbc in a table of MySQL?
In offline mode too?
Please, let me know! :-)))

(To Paul: I will subscribe to the sql maillist, if a stupid stubborn
redneck with a stronge stomach can't find a solutions by itself. ;-)

Oh? I can't understand this. Any changes in a table of any SQL will be
effect immediately. Maybe something is wrong in your catalog.cfg?
Maybe
you have not set "NoImport" right?

Hmmm...do you mean, whether i'm able to get all changes in my database
as soon as possible in my minivend?
No! It is minivend! Minivend is able to get the newest data, if the
catalog.cfg is right. ;-))

Ahemmm?! If this thread about "ms access" is off topic, email me
directly!
